CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — NASA has announced a modification of its NASA Launch Services (NLS) II contract with Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) of Hawthorne, Calif., to add an additional configuration of the Falcon 9 rocket to its fleet. The SpaceX Falcon 9 v1.1 launch service will be available to the agency’s Launch Services Program to use for future missions in accordance with the on-ramp provision of NLS II.

The NLS II on-ramp provision provides an annual opportunity for new launch service providers to compete for future missions and allows existing launch service providers to introduce launch vehicles not currently on their NLS II contracts. The NLS II contracts are multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts with ordering periods through June 2020.

The NLS II contracts support the goals and objectives of the agency’s Science Mission Directorate, Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate, and the Office of the Chief Technologist. Under the contract, NASA also can provide launch services to other government agencies, such as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

*rolling the ball*

So basically either these lame comments get deleted, or people don't bother posting because they got annoyed with the verification...

I like the sharie bits on the side though, that's good.

The verifying stuff has to go.

Make the crowd verify others by putting a treshold and a dislike button on each comment. If the comment is disliked by enough people, it will be deleted.

It is that simple.

If the people care about spam, or inapropriate content, they will remove it themselves and you don't have to worry about it yourself.

But this personal verification after every single post is lame as.
How was i supposed to spam the members of this site into submission if i can't spam freely? :P
hmmm i just noticed its captcha so its actual work i am doing with every verification....

ok fine its not that bad, but still it is annoying, especially if you don't know what recaptcha is doing while annoying you
You guys messed up, i actually enjoy the recaptcha now :)
Congratulations, you just contributed NOTHING to start a discussion...

Anyway, I've read somewhere else, that this Falcon 9 v1.1 is a stretched version using the new Merlin 1D engines (in possibly a new configuration, someone hinted at only using 8 engines, but the math would not work out if the F9 gets stretched at the same time, so I doubt this)
Well I did get the ball rolling cause you replied.

So actually I contributed with making you comment. :)

I dont know why we have this desert of discussion when this place and commenting is far superior than space.com. Something is wrong.
